STGT Continues to Showcase Outstanding Achievements! Receives Certification from the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (TGO), Upholding Excellence as an Industry Leader in Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions on the Path to Net Zero.

On August 20, 2024, Mr. Cholnatee Suttara, Factory Manager at Sri Trang Gloves (Thailand) Public Company Limited (STGT), Trang branch, represented the management team to receive a certificate of recognition. This acknowledgment was for the company’s participation in the 'Promotion of Greenhouse Gas Emission Target Setting for the Industry Sector to Achieve Net Zero through Science-Based Targets' project. The certificate was presented by Ms. Phakamon Supappunt, Director of Low Carbon Business Certification Office, Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (TGO). The seminar and award ceremony were organized by TGO in collaboration with the Center of Excellence in Eco-Energy (CEEE), Faculty of Engineering, Thammasat University, at the Pullman King Power Hotel, Bangkok.

This initiative, led by Sri Trang Gloves (Thailand) Public Company Limited, Trang branch ('Trang Factory'), aims to explore and establish targets and an action plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in line with TGO and SBTi guidelines on the path toward Net Zero. The Trang Factory has set a five-year pathway from 2024 to 2028, targeting an 18.52% reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions compared to the 2023 baseline by 2028. The action plan includes various projects, such as the installation of solar power systems on rooftops and floating solar platforms, with a total installed capacity of 7.556 megawatts. It also involves converting 18 forklifts from fossil fuels to electric power and transitioning 4-wheel loaders to electric power. These initiatives are expected to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions of the Trang Factory by 4,858 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent.

The company plans to apply these principles organization-wide to support its goal of achieving Carbon Neutrality by 2030 and Net Zero Emissions by 2050. This effort aligns with the 'Clean World Clean Gloves' (CWCG) concept, focusing on creating a sustainable impact for stakeholders throughout the value chain.
