STGT achieves 100% Covid-19 vaccination status to ensure staff well-being and drive business sustainability

27 September 2021 - Sri Trang Gloves (Thailand) Public Company Limited (“STGT” or the “Company”), a world-leading glove producer with a secondary listing on the SGX Mainboard, is pleased to share that all 9,000 of its employees have been fully inoculated as part of its efforts to build up community herd immunity and instill business confidence among its partners and consumers.

STGT CEO Ms Jarinya Jirojkul, said, “We are proud of every one of our 9,000 civic-minded staff for standing together in the fight against Covid-19. We acquired Covid-19 vaccines for our staff and carried out the vaccination process as part of our commitment to staff safety and well-being as well as sustainable business practices. Our staff are key to our continued success and we will continue to do our utmost to provide a secure and conducive working environment by implementing Covid-19 prevention measures and observing the highest hygiene and cleanliness standards.”

In its efforts to combat the virus and protect staff, STGT has adopted measures including safety distancing at the workplace as well as the provision of surgical masks and ample medical leave. In addition, the Company has implemented the government ‘bubble and seal’ policy within its factories to safeguard staff against Covid-19 infections. This has helped to ensure business continuity and supply chain security.

Beyond STGT, the Company has also proactively lent its support to the community Covid-19 efforts by partnering with its parent company, Sri Trang Agro-Industry Public Company Limited (“STA”), to donate medical-grade latex gloves to the Thai community through the “Sri Trang Group Sharing Love to Communities Year 2” project. Launched in 2020, the project aims to manage the spread of Covid-19 through promoting good hygiene as well as to support patient care and the vaccination process. Currently focused on Bangkok, the campaign will extend its donation programme to surrounding provinces.
