‘Sri Trang Group’ unites to drive support and sustainability for Thailand communities affected by COVID-19.

“Sri Trang Group” demonstrated its compassion for the Thai society by supporting food, drinks, survival kits and medical rubber gloves worth more than 4 million baht to the people who were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as to medical professionals at hospitals across Thailand to be used in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

The New Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic that has swept through Thailand in recent months has greatly impacted the overall economic situation as well as the livelihood of people in various communities. Although the epidemic situation in the country has abated significantly, the critical impact on economy and society still remains. As a result, a considerable number of communities are still in need of aid in the form of food and drinks to alleviate hardship.

Mr. Vitanath Sincharoenkul, Director of Sri Trang Gloves (Thailand) Public Company Limited (STGT), revealed that the “Sri Trang Group”, consisting of Sri Trang Agro-Industry Public Company Limited, Sri Trang Gloves (Thailand) Public Company Limited and Rubberland Products Company Limited, have always aims to build a business where sustainability is our first priority. We have been monitor COVID-19 impact closely and taken part to support Thailand economic, society and wellbeing of our people. We very much concerned about society and many communities that have been affected by the COVID-19 situation in the past months. Therefore, the Group has decided to jointly donate various necessities, such as food, drinks, survival kits and medical rubber gloves worth a total of 4 million baht to be distributed to relevant agencies and communities in provinces where the Group’s factories are situated. The donation went to applicable agencies, such as Surat Thani Provincial Hospital, local schools, and others.

This cooperation among the Sri Trang Group companies in this instance was the result of the desire to show compassion and support for those who were facing hardship as a result of the COVID-19 epidemic while also helping to shore up the intra-community’s micro-economy by purchasing food and other necessities from within the communities to be prepared into survival kits which were then distributed to the needy members of the communities. Also, the Group distributed medical rubber gloves to hospitals and medical professionals, to be used in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
