‘Sri Trang Group’ procuring Sinopharm vaccines for all employees, inoculations expected next week, extending thanks to Chulabhorn Royal Academy for providing the vaccines

Sri Trang Group of Companies is concerned about its employees’ health and is procuring Sinopharm, an alternative anti-Covid-19 vaccine, from the Chulabhorn Royal Academy to be administered by next week, an initiative that will help relieve the heavy load on health professionals as well as support the government’s efforts to achieve herd immunity in Thailand. The Group would like to extend thanks to the Chulabhorn Royal Academy for making available the vaccines.

Mr. Veerasith Sinchareonkul, Executive Director of Sri Trang Agro-Industry Pcl. or STA, the world’s leading producer and distributor of natural rubber products, states that Sri Trang Agro-Industry Pcl. and Sri Trang Gloves (Thailand) Pcl. are very much concerned about the health of employees amidst the outbreak of Covid-19, which has claimed increasing numbers of victims. Consequently, Sri Trang Group takes it as a matter of policy to source alternative vaccines to be available sufficiently for all employees to ensure their health and safety and as a gesture of support of the government’s current campaign to control the infections and to quickly build up herd immunity within the country.

Recently, the Sri Trang Group has been allocated a lot of Sinopharm, an alternative to currently available options, from the Chulabhorn Royal Academy. These will be administered to the Sri Trang Group’s 13,000 employees in its offices and manufacturing facilities located in various provinces in Thailand. Initially, the company has requested local hospitals at each location to help give the jabs to its employees in their respective areas.

Ms. Jarinya Jirojkul, Chief Executive Officer of Sri Trang Gloves (Thailand) Pcl. or STGT, a major global producer of latex and nitrile gloves, adds that the Sri Trang Group takes great importance in taking care of its employees’ health to build confidence among its customers, consumers and all concerned parties in its supply chain. Plans have been put in place to inoculate employees at all its plants with the Sinopharm vaccines as soon as possible to ensure they are protected against COVID-19.

The Company’s action should help take some of the load off the health agencies and professionals who have dedicated themselves to taking care of infected people during the past and current outbreaks. Inoculating all the company’s employees would contribute to the government’s efforts to achieve herd immunity to prevent further spread and to open up the country within 120 days, Ms. Jarinya says.
